This gorgeous, soft, and bouncy fingering-weight yarn is USA grown, processed and dyed. The yarn comes from Shaniko Wool Company, founded by Jeane Carver in Shaniko, Oregon. Shaniko is the first U.S. Farm Group to supply certified wool under the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS). Shaniko Wool is traceable and 100% transparent.
Based in Minnesota, Fiber Macgyver's founder Susie began dyeing yarn during the pandemic and produces yarns that are referred to as "classic yet quirky, sometimes even rustic."
This yarn is hand-dyed in small batches. Variations between skeins should be expected/celebrated. We recommend alternating skeins every row or every other row for large projects.
